Guided meditation helps you sleep better

 

You may or may not know that Guided meditation helps you sleep better; there are some mentation techniques and exercises which can be used to help us relax when we find our minds in Overdrive. Some of the activities below or sheared from a meditation expert, which helps you feel relaxed when you lay down your head on the pillow.

Meditate into sleep you may think that this is a meditation to help you sleep no. Instead, it’s an exercise or meditation to help you relax and make you more aware, but you might find the result is that you often fall asleep.

What is a guided sleep meditation

1. Lay down in your bed, make yourself comfortable lay on your back.

Going to each part of your body starting from your toes. Tell your toes to relax, you don’t need to speak out loud.

In your mind say relax to your toes and then to your feet and imagine the blood is rushing to your toes and foot, work you’re we up into your thighs into your legs always suggesting to each part just relax let go.

Don’t try to do anything suggest to your body, relax let work your way around your hips and back down into your other legs your knees ankles your foot your toes and back up into your hips tummy.

Guided yourself through the body making sure you tell each body part to relax let go.

Work your way up the back, always suggesting to each part of your back into your spine to relax.

Imagining that the blood rushing to these parts of the body that you tell to relax.

Once you go through your back, and all the muscles in the rear also along with the spin.

Go into the neck back of the head. The forehead around to the eyes.

The nose, mouth to lips jaw. Down into your throat down into your arms into your elbow.

Your risk into your hands and fingers go through each side of your body.

Your breasts going down the solar plexus into the tummy.

Once you’ve done that we move on to the next exercise.

Rhythmic Breathing

2. Now breathe in while you’re breathing in count 1, 2,3,4, you can go all the way to 10.

You can also count to 4 if you wish. The important thing is to regular slow rhythm is essential.
You want to keep a steady rhythm with each breath. Counting the same number of times for the out breath as well as in breadth.

Do this exercise for 5 minutes. Once that is done if you are still awake.

The white light

3. I want you to imagine that just above your head is white light. A circle of white light just above your head.
Become aware of this white light don’t try to do anything or make it do anything. Just be aware of it see it as well as you can. This white light represents the spirit.

Now repeat the words  “I am”, do this also for 5 minutes.

 

4. From above your eyebrows down to your throat.

Imagine that the white light from above your head goes down to your throat.

The white light surrounds your face and throat, going above your eyebrows.

The white light goes right through your head.

See the white light as clearly as you can.

If your mind begins to wonder, just bring it back.

Repeat the words “I speak ” while looking at this white light.

While being aware of this white light do this repetition for 5 minutes.

5. Imagine this light going down to the heart area.

imagine a white light surrounding the heart and chest area shining right through the hart.

Repeat the words “I love”.

Notice any Sensation or feeling that you might be feeling as you do this exercise.

Do this also for 5 minutes this represent your heart.

We are hoping that you will be long asleep but if not just continue.
Now go down to your groin and do the same thing.

Imagine the white light around the groin.

Shining brightly, looking into the light repeat the words  “I create”.

This part of the body represents creativity.

Imagine the white light around your feet, shining brightly and repeat the words “I bless”.

This part of the body represents the earth, repeat this for 5 minutes.

*It’s entirely possible that by the time you’ve reached this point in the exercise you will be fast asleep. If you are, enjoy the rest and sleep well. Don’t worry if you’re not asleep though — it’s not that you’ve done the exercise incorrectly. Remember that it’s not an exercise to make you go to sleep, but rather an exercise to increase your awareness and understanding of your mind at night.
