Mindfulness Books in the past few years, Mindfulness has slowly become more accessible to the wider public. The resulting increase in the public interest has led to a whole wave of new Mindfulness books to be published.

These books promise to educate the reader on Mindfulness, making it easier to understand and implement a variety of techniques. Most books do so, but not all of them are as helpful.

Mindfulness for Beginners and Advanced John Kabat-Zinn wrote Mindfulness for Beginners: Reclaiming the Present Moment–and Your Life back in 2011, and it remains one of the top Mindfulness books available.

Mister Kabat-Zinn is seen as the ‘founding father’ of modern day Mindfulness (read more about him here). I personally like the fact that his scientific background and vast knowledge is noticeable in his writing. Mindfulness Books

However, the book is suited for both beginners and advanced users alike, as it is very user friendly. It can be read in three distinct ways: you can read sections at random and explore the reflections and lessons discussed; you can read the book from cover-to-cover; or you can read one section a day, from start to finish.

9 Week Mindfulness Plan A common misconception about Mindfulness is that it takes ages to learn and that one has to master it before it has beneficial effects.

Mark Williams and Danny Penman helped counter this belief by writing their accessible Mindfulness: An Eight-Week Plan for Finding Peace in a Frantic World. Both authors have a scientific background, combining their insights to create a valid and effective 8-week plan.

Mindfulness Classic Another book by mister Kabat-Zinn, one of the very first Mindfulness books for the general public. Written in 1994, this book is still relevant in this day and age.
